Hi, I’m Ilay (Eli)! I grew up playing guitar, piano, trumpet and drums.
During my school years I was involved in concert and jazz band, and began performing publicly at age 16. I eventually studied double bass and vocals at the California Jazz Conservatory, graduating in 2020.
In Dublin, I perform regularly on guitar, bass, and vocals. In 2025-2026 I had the honor to take on a professional mentorship with Aura Stone at the Royal Irish Academy of Music.I have been in over a dozen working bands and accompanied award-winning artists in North America and Europe.
I’ve been teaching music since 2014, working with students from age 5 to 65.It gives me joy to help bring out the music we were all born with!
